The Traffic Manager is responsible for scheduling and finalizing the daily traffic logs as well as managing short and long term avails across the Network & Digital station inventory.   This person will also solicit traffic instructions and commercial content from the advertising agencies and commercial delivery vendors.  Traffic Manager will also engage in daily communication and coordination with internal Pricing & Inventory and Sales departments.  We are searching for a personable and diligent individual who is conscientious and dependable. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work directly with the Network and/or Digital P&I / Commercial Ops Sales team to maximize inventory and control oversell
  • Audit placement to confirm that all spots are given required separation, rotation and check for possible conflicts prior to log locking
  • Coordinate directly with agencies to acquire commercial copy instructions and creative
  • Monitor exceptions for current week by day part and rate to optimize avails
  • Daily and direct communication with Sales team regarding any pre or post log issues such as spot count, cancellations, hiatus and new/revised orders

The Station Operations is responsible for the leadership and management of all day-to-day operations of the ION Station Group.  ION does not have any local production.  We are searching for a detail-oriented and dynamic leader with the requisite management skills and business acumen to apply the rigor required in a changing media landscape. The ideal candidate would partner with major third party partners in successful lease negotiations for towers as well as broadcast studios, understand ROI, manage costs and improve processes. The position would lead a team of over 120 across the country including broadcast and transmitter engineers.  The ideal candidate would have the ability to bridge the technical and business with emphasis on the business.
This hands-on individual will direct, manage, develop and mentor the team to ensure their managerial and operational skills support and facilitate an open, collaborative and high performance environment, and lead the team in successfully developing and implementing a talent strategy to meet current and future business needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES - Management
